Finding-Time-To-Start-A-Home-Based-business
56A question of Timing
When is the right time
- Is there enough time
- How much time to spend
- Is there time to relax
When is the right time?
Before starting out on a home-based business the most important ingredient often overlooked, is to make sure that both you and your spouse are on the same page, and you have a common goal; with time set aside to discuss it at regular intervals so nobody feels shut out or left out. If your choice is on line, the computer will be called the spouse before long with resentment. Having said that it seems so fundamental, yet many a relationship has suffered from ignoring it.
Is there enough time?
Majority of people need more money than they what they are presently earning; or maybe they are just sick and tired of being sick and tired of doing a job they hate; or maybe they have that one idea, and simply know it is what they want to do. Whatever your motivation, be sure that it is rooted and grounded on the foundation of a solid research; make the time to research what you want to do. Most people, all most everybody knows what they don't want to do, very few know what they really want to do.
Research.
- What kind of business is it, is it MLM, affiliate marketing, online offline, physical service requiring a special skill; eg remodeling kitchen?
- Costs, how much is going to cost you to start, the idea of starting a business from home is to make money, so be careful before taking out a loan to go into a venture thereby going deeper into debt; better to start with one that requires very little or no capital.
- Is it right for you? In other words do you have the passion for it, when you speak about or think about it is the enthusiasm there; Enthusos the God within, the fire that burns within; there will come a time, when the motivation of money, especially when it is not coming like you want it to, will not be enough. Examine your motivations for going into it. Is it because you know someone, who knows someone that knows somebody who made money doing it? Or because you really want to do it. Most home business fail through lack of research.
- How long will it take to be self sustaining before it can equal or better what your boss is paying you.
How much time to spend on it
- What time are you prepared to sacrifice to do it, leisure time (dining out, gym time, favorite TV programs)
- What projects or tasks you haven't had the time to do at home, fix a gate, door or what ever.
- Rather estimate less time to begin with, increase as you go along. When estimating a lot of time in the beginning and you don't put those hours in, you feel as if you are failing; in other words you already have a mindset of failure. Estimate less time build on those successes.
- Work to a schedule, draw one up and stick to it, without pushing yourself to exhaustion; exhausted you will not perform at your optimal, either for your boss or yourself.
Time To Relax
Leave enough time to enjoy your family and friends, whatever you achieve will mean nothing if it has been at the cost of drifting away from them.
